Guess who's sort of sticking to one of his New Year's Resolutions? That's right, this guy right here. I decided to learn how to play the drums this year and I've got this beauty chilling in my dorm room, although I pretty much have to shrink it down to size anytime I'm not in the middle of using it:
If thine enemy wrong thee, buy each of his children a drum.
Anyone who's not my dormmate should thank their lucky stars, because I'm absolutely terrible at the drums. Not to mention the sheer amount of drumsticks I've had slip out of my hands while I'm pounding away at them, flying off into the sunset. And by the sunset, I mean that they keep attacking random objects in the room and occasionally my dormmates themselves. Sorry, guys. I'm starting to think I should admit defeat, though, before someone loses an eye.
Actually. Does anyone play the drums who'd be willing to give me a few pointers? And… possibly, you know, teach me how to play? The upside being, I'm a fan-fuckingreaking-tastic student, the downside being you might be struck by a drumstick every so often.

Also! For those of you who witnessed a shirtless me today, I'm terribly sorry if I caused any accidental swoonage. Blame it on the werewolf, who stole my awesome "I'm not Santa, but you can sit on my lap anyway." shirt right off my back. Literally.
I got, like, eight different requests for presents from people sitting on my lap today, but for those of you who didn't get a chance (or, you know, if you just want to remind me of what it is you asked for), what does everybody want for Christmas? I've probably got half your gifts figured out already, but I'm curious if I've got it dead on and, in some instances, I haven't got the foggiest what to get you.

You ever notice how people don't always smell the way you figure they would? I mean, I always figured Quinn would smell like sugar and spice and everything nice, but really, it's a peaches and cream and honeysuckle combo. And who wouldn't look at Ginger, say her name, and expect to be thinking of gingerbread cookies the moment you got a whiff? But, really, it's like a fruit buffet.
Anyway, then there are certain people that I look at from across the Great Hall and I'm like, you know, I bet they smell really good. They just look like they'd smell really good, but sometimes they don't? They just look like it, and --
Anyone else ever look at people and think they must smell really good?
